Fabian’s Ombré Baby Blanket pattern is designed by Kinga of “My Hobby is Crochet“. In addition, Kinga uses the Sedge Stitch which is one of her favorite crochet stitches. Certainly, this is  a very easy stitch that creates a lovely texture and it works up very quickly.

In addition, the stunning ombré effect of this baby blanket is created without changing colors. In this instance, Kinga uses the Red Heart Yarns Super Saver Ombre in Deep Teal. However, there are 23 different shades to choose from!

One note that she does make when crocheting Fabian’s Ombré Baby Blanket concerns changing skeins. She recommends unravelling the ball until you reach the same shade as you ended with and using a Russian Join or a Magic Knot to continue. as a result, this prevents a dramatic color change and keeps the ombré effect flowing.

Additionally, the border is worked in continuous spiral rounds of HDC, without joining. Of course, Kinga gives full instructions on how to obtain the gorgeous horizontal effect.
