Crochet Beach Cover Up Notes:
Besides using single, double crochet stitches, the only ‘special’ stitch is the diamond which is explained as “Dc in indicated ch-sp, ch 3, work 3 dc around the post of the dc just
made”. For a beginner this may be a bit confusing but by studying the photograph, it is actually very simple.
The Back and Front are worked separately. Firstly, both pieces are worked the same from the lower edge upwards. Subsequently, chains then are joined to sides of each piece at underarms for sleeves and the back and front are then crocheted together. Finally, an edging is worked along lower edges. To change yarn color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Proceed with new color. Finally, fasten off old color.
